A is for Aeroplane

  • In my mind, there is still something magical about flying in a plane. Maybe it is my inner child or maybe it is the thought of an exciting adventure/holiday. But whatever it is, there is a definite thrill that I get from it.
  • What I have noticed is that from the moment when one starts looking at booking flights all the way up to the point where you have located your seat, buckled yourself in and wait to feel and hear the thrust of the jets to lift the plane upwards, the thrill and excitement increases at every step of the way.
  • I feel that this excitement level increase is easily put down to human nature and time. One could say that it is normal for human nature to have an increase in excitement level as an event that someone is looking forward too draws closer.
  • Funnily enough, I find the moment unwinding of the excitement the most interesting. This one moment is where the plane is climbing its way upwards through the clouds and everybody is trying to catch a glimpse downwards at hustle and bustle that is happening below through the tiny window before settling into their in-flight distractions.
  • Why is this interesting to me? Well, I guess it boils down to the fact that even though most of the passengers might be strangers to each other, it is easy to relate to them as almost everybody on the flight is going through a very similar emotional experience at that point of time.
  • My final thought for this blog is to say that I have felt the similar excitement stages when going on a cruise or even when going on a car trip, I find that an aeroplane trip is just that little more exciting and wonderful to have.
  • I hope you have enjoyed reading and please keep following along with my adventures and journey.
