Not far from my apartment I am lucky enough to have a Tesco. It is one of those places which needs to be experienced. Covering two levels of the building, the past two visits there has lead me to walking 3km on the first time and 2.5 km on the second visit around the store.
They have a large range of products from food to households. However apparently they don’t have potato masher.
I have found certain things interesting in the shop. Items like diary products are very expensive and loaves of bread either come in 6 or 8 slices. However, the one thing that surprised me the most at Tesco is the meat section. I found myself being stunned by seeing a large table that has a number of sections of different types of meat in which customers can handle ungloved and choose the pieces of meat that they would like. The meat that the customer does not want is tossed to one side for the next customer to handle.
The bakery section is another section which I found interesting due to the fact that every bakery table has a loud speaker on it, that is advertising its product. So when you have about 15 speakers side by side advertising all at the same time, you are bombarded by a mixed mash of noise. It is enough to give one a head ache.
However, it still is a great place to visit to buy certain products and a great place to be entertained by standards and products.
